Alan Ang Appointed Growth Director at TOTM Labs
In a major executive move, TOTM Technologies Limited announced the appointment of Alan Ang as the new Growth Director for its subsidiary, TOTM Labs, effective August 2026.
Mr. Ang is a highly regarded pioneer in enterprise transformation and digital innovation, bringing over 20 years of robust regional experience to the role. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Asia Blockchain Association and previously spearheaded core business development and digital transformation at Ricoh Asia Pacific. In his new capacity, Mr. Ang will lead the group’s commercial expansion and go-to-market strategy across key international sectors.
- Bolstering regional growth: Alongside Mr. Ang’s appointment, TOTM Labs welcomed Gunawan Halim as the new Head of Product. Together, these leadership hires are structured to position TOTM to capitalize on emerging opportunities in artificial intelligence, digital trust, and cross-border identity infrastructure.
- Expanding the ASEAN footprint: Coinciding with this leadership update, TOTM Technologies entered into landmark strategic agreements to deepen regional integration. These include a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vietnam-based tech company PILA Group and a non-binding Letter of Intent (LOI) with Indonesia’s multi-stakeholder AI collaboration platform, KORIKA.

Professor Alan Wiseman Honored with the 2026 Barbara Sinclair Lecture Award
In the academic arena, Vanderbilt University announced that Alan Wiseman, Professor and Associate Provost, has been named the recipient of the prestigious 2026 Barbara Sinclair Lecture Award by the American Political Science Association (APSA).
The Barbara Sinclair Lecture Award is presented annually to honor scholars who have achieved outstanding success in promoting the understanding of the U.S. Congress and legislative politics.
- The Legislative Effectiveness Score (LES): Dr. Wiseman's distinguished research program has been celebrated globally for pioneering the Legislative Effectiveness Score (LES). Developed alongside his co-author Craig Volden, the LES is a highly utilized, novel framework designed to measure how successful individual lawmakers are at navigating the legislative process to advance their policy priorities.
- Distinction at Vanderbilt: This accolade joins a highly celebrated week for Vanderbilt’s Department of Political Science, which also celebrated Associate Professor Shatema Threadcraft for receiving two major national book awards from the APSA.
Both honorees and their landmark contributions will be formally recognized during the 122nd APSA Annual Meeting and Exhibition in Boston, Massachusetts.
