Kelly Appoints Alan Stukalsky as Chief Product and Technology Officer
Global workforce strategy and solutions provider Kelly (Nasdaq: KELYA, KELYB) has announced the appointment of Alan Stukalsky as the company's new Chief Product and Technology Officer, effective July 13, 2026. In this newly created executive role, Stukalsky will join Kelly’s senior leadership team, reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer Chris Layden.
The strategic appointment underscores Kelly's intensifying focus on embedding artificial intelligence (AI) and digital automation into the workforce solutions sector.
Driving Digital Innovation and AI Scale
In his new role, Stukalsky will assume executive oversight of Kelly’s overarching product strategy, digital innovations, and technological infrastructure across its diverse portfolio of specialty businesses. A primary focus of his mandate will be scaling the deployment of AI-enabled solutions.
Key Strategic Objectives:
- Accelerating Tech Integration: Leading the deployment of AI-native platforms to streamline communication between clients, candidates, and internal operations.
- Enterprise Modernization: Overseeing cloud migration, platform optimization, and the rollout of cutting-edge tech-enabled workforce tools.
- Enhancing User Experiences: Optimizing and simplifying the digital touchpoints for candidates seeking employment and businesses looking to build agile workforces.
According to CEO Chris Layden, the workforce solutions industry is experiencing an inflection point. "Companies who successfully embed AI into their operations to better serve clients and candidates are going to pull away from the field," Layden said in a public release. "Alan will scale it, drive operational excellence across the enterprise, and accelerate the pace at which we’re launching products that will help clients build tech-enabled workforces."
A Quarter-Century of Tech Leadership
Stukalsky brings over 25 years of technology management and digital business transformation experience to Kelly. His career spans several major roles in the recruitment and talent solutions sector:
- LHH (Adecco Group): Most recently served as Chief Digital and Information Officer, overseeing critical digital strategy and technological solutions.
- Randstad North America: Spent more than 16 years in senior management, holding dual executive responsibilities as Chief Digital Officer and Chief Information Officer.
- Expertise: Deeply recognized for guiding large-scale cloud migrations, aligning tech frameworks with overall business strategy, and designing digital talent systems that drive tangible shareholder and customer value.
Reflecting on his new position, Stukalsky stated, "The company is investing in the technology and products that will define how it competes in an AI-driven market. I’m passionate about making it easier for clients and candidates to work with us, embedding AI into the fabric of how we operate, and ensuring the people we place are equipped with the tools they need to succeed."
Broader Executive Momentum
The hiring of Stukalsky aligns with an active year of strategic leadership updates at Kelly. Over the past twelve months, the firm has reshaped key parts of its C-suite and executive roster:
- Chris Layden stepped into the CEO role in September 2025.
- Patrick McCall was appointed Chief Growth Officer in February 2026.
- Joel Leege joined the firm as President of Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology & Telecom (SETT) in March 2026.
With Stukalsky stepping into his role mid-July, Kelly looks to aggressively position itself as a tech-forward leader in an increasingly digital staffing landscape.
