In the past week, GWR confirmed that 24 participants successfully solved the complex puzzle. The encrypted text consisted of two deep tributes:

  • The Royal Pardon: The primary decrypted message contained the text of the 2013 Royal Prerogative of Mercy, which posthumously pardoned Turing for historic convictions under unjust laws criminalizing homosexuality.
  • A Personal Legacy: The second hidden tribute read, "For his love of Christopher," a poignant reference to Turing’s close childhood friend, Christopher Morcom, whose early passing profoundly influenced Turing's life and work.

Solving the code required participants to trace letters in a specific sequence, leverage the palindromic nature of the train's number (800008), and utilize structural spacing clues.
