Kelly Appoints Alan Stukalsky as Chief Product and Technology Officer
In a move to accelerate its digital innovation and scale its AI initiatives, global workforce strategy and solutions provider Kelly (Nasdaq: KELYA, KELYB) has announced the appointment of Alan Stukalsky as its new Chief Product and Technology Officer. The appointment, announced on July 6, 2026, will officially take effect on July 13, 2026.
Stukalsky will join the company’s senior leadership team, reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer Chris Layden. In this newly created executive role, he will oversee Kelly's product strategy, technology capabilities, and digital innovation efforts across its entire portfolio of specialty businesses.
Navigating an AI-Driven Inflection Point
The workforce solutions industry is experiencing rapid evolution, driven in large part by advancements in artificial intelligence and automation. Kelly’s leadership believes that leveraging these technologies effectively is key to maintaining a competitive edge.
CEO Chris Layden emphasized the strategic timing of this hire, stating:
"The workforce solutions industry is at an inflection point. Companies who successfully embed AI into their operations to better serve clients and candidates are going to pull away from the field. That work is already underway at Kelly. Alan will scale it, drive operational excellence across the enterprise, and accelerate the pace at which we’re launching products that will help clients build tech-enabled workforces."
In response to his appointment, Stukalsky expressed optimism about the company's direction:
"This is an exciting time to join Kelly. The company is investing in the technology and products that will define how it competes in an AI-driven market. I’m passionate about making it easier for clients and candidates to work with us, embedding AI into the fabric of how we operate, and ensuring the people we place are equipped with the tools they need to succeed."
Over 25 Years of Digital Leadership
Stukalsky brings more than 25 years of technology leadership and digital transformation experience to Kelly. Throughout his career, he has successfully managed large-scale enterprise modernization, cloud migrations, and the deployment of AI-enabled solutions.
His professional background includes:
- LHH (Adecco Group): Most recently served as Chief Digital and Information Officer.
- Randstad: Spent over 16 years holding dual executive roles as Chief Digital Officer and Chief Information Officer for North America.
- Academic Background: Stukalsky holds degrees in both Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics, reinforcing his strong analytical and technical foundations.
Restructuring for Future Growth
The creation of the Chief Product and Technology Officer role follows a series of strategic leadership updates within Kelly over the past year. Since Chris Layden assumed the role of CEO in September 2025, the company has continuously evolved its leadership bench to support future growth.
Recent corporate developments include:
- The appointment of Joel Leege as President of Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology, and Telecom in March 2026.
- The addition of Patrick McCall as Chief Growth Officer in February 2026.
- Ongoing investments in expanding AI-focused strategies to streamline talent sourcing and placement.
With Stukalsky leading product and technology operations, Kelly aims to bolster its position as a digital-first pioneer in the highly competitive global staffing and workforce strategy sector.
